Captain’s Blend (Dark Roast) – for those who like their coffee bold, their mornings short, and their espresso strong enough to steer a ship through a storm. This is the darker, moodier sibling of our classic blend—less chit-chat, more get-things-done. Rich, chocolatey, low on acidity, and high on attitude, it’s the perfect fuel for cafés serving customers who mean business (or at least pretend to before their second flat white). Steady as she brews, Captain.
In the Captain's blend we have a 70/15/15 ratio of Brazil, Columbian and Ugandan and roast them darkly. I mean, that's not to say we stand around with witch's hats on our heads, reciting incantations to our overlord with a cauldron and all that - it means we roast the beans to a darker, intense colour than we normally would.
Although thinking about those hats .. there's an idea ..

Tried Cannon after searching on maps for a local coffee roaster. First order was their Brazil Mio Peaberry medium dark and from first pull it was an obvious step up from other beans I'd been using recently (and they were not bad by any means). Will continue to work my way through their selection but imagine I will regularly return to the Peaberry.

Popped in for some beans, recieved top class welcoming service and left with brilliant coffee. Took home the Brazil Mio PB (after trying it on espresso onsite) and Uganda Mt Elgon to try at home. As soon as i got back I made myself a moka pot and yes - the Ugandan has also been roasted beautifully. Will definitely be back soon. Nice one ☝🏼
